The mismatched bricks of the new addition are painstakingly stained in the same complex pattern as the brick the colorists are matching the addition to. Each brick is treated individually.

An Exact Match: After a four step color process, the final wash of stain replicated exactly the 35 plus years of aging to blend the new brick in perfectly with the existing.

Just to the right of the glass doors and window, the accent banding displays the dye lot mismatch that occurred during construction. The problem affected the entire building. An Exact Match team arrived to remedy the situation and help the contractors close out the project.

The original brick chimney on this home was damaged by a lightening strike. Repairs were made with available white-washed brick.

Renovations and Additions are Our Specialty 

We understand completely. An investment such as a major renovation is absolutely worthy of an Exact Match.

Discontinued brick is most often not able to be located for most projects. Even if brick from the same company, line or type purchased in the past is locatable, the mismatch is found in the dye lot differences, as well as simply the age difference between the new brick and original brick. Weather and conditions over even a short period of time change the appearance of the brick and create a mismatch from the vibrant, new appearance of the brick addition.

Commercial Construction

Exact Match colorists often work on new construction projects such as large commercial buildings including schools and churches, retail establishments, medical office suites and the like. In many of these cases, Exact Match has done color corrections for dye lot differences. We do brick color correction, mortar color correction, or both. We arrive fully prepared to neutralize the problem quickly and efficiently and keep these items off the punch list. For urgent situations, where deadlines are looming, we can offer priority service. 

Our services are also very effective for completely renewing and restoring aging brick. Historical societies use this method both in Europe and here in the US with great success.
